Adding or Dropping Courses
Just as with registration, choosing to alter your schedule should
be done with intentionality and care.
While you are welcome to drop by my office to brainstorm and consult
on the proposition of adding or dropping a class, you may just as
easily begin with an entry in your curricular journal outlining the
justifications, advantages, disadvantages, opportunity costs, etc.
of such an action.
Any synchronous discussion we have (and a fifteen minute office hour
timeslot is often too brief to fully explore all the relevant elements)
is certain to include these concerns, so it is often best you begin
by thinking about them and putting them to writing. You are then welcome
to call my attention to it by email, and we can continue conversing
by comments and/or a synchronous chat.
