Project: "Polar Flowers"

Design Statement:

In my project I have flowers (polar roses) that change the number of petals they have as n changes. In particular, the n-th image of the series has 2n petals. Also, the first flower is red and it progressively changes towards blue.
The flowers represent a variation of the polar function r=1+(sin 2n theta).
In addition to the flowers, there are two different butterflies - one in the top left corner and one in the bottom right corner. They move in different directions as n changes. At approximately n=500 they are both in the middle of the picture - one above the flower and one below it.
