  1. Today's reading recapitulates OS design goals for a virtual memory system. Identify the goal you find least important for the memory system in a mobile operating system, such as Android or iOS. Briefly explain why the goal you chose is less important than the others.
  2. Today's reading introduces several ("laughable") assumptions for an OS's virtual memory system. Identify the assumption you find most practical; that is, which is most realistic and gives the greatest payoff in an implementation tradeoff between simplicity and flexibility. Briefly explain your choice.
  3. Select one sentence from today's reading that you believe best illustrates the importance of hardware in memory management? Briefly (3-5 sentences) explain why you chose this sentence.1
