Revising Your Writing
TUT 100 - Virtue in Animal and Machine - Professor Weinman
- Summary:
- You have an opportunity to revise any major writing
assignment for the semester.
- Purpose:
- To allow you to learn from feedback and improve your
work.
- Due:
- Two weeks after feedback is given
Information
Before it is graded, you have the option of revising any of your major
writing assignments, based on my feedback, the Writing Lab staff's
comments, your peers' responses, or (preferably) all of the above.
This opportunity allows you to decide whether you are able to make
improvements to your writing based on the comments you receive and
the time you have available to do so.
For any assignment you elect to revise, you will need to turn in:
- A one page statement highlighting
- the changes you have made in revision
- what in my feedback letter was helpful and unhelpful
- Previous versions of the paper, including my comments and marked copies
For any assignment you elect not to revise, you need to turn
in:
- Previous versions of the paper, including my comments and marked copies
After you have done one of the two options above, I will assign your
paper a grade and return your materials.
You must submit your revisions for each paper no later than two
weeks after they are initially returned to you.
