Important Caveats

The video uses terminology for a Field Effect Transistor (FET), while the reading discusses Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJT). Namely, the collector, emitter, and base are analogous to the drain, source, and gate (respectively). There are of course many very important differences between FETs and BJTs, but we'll largely be ignoring them for now.
